Andrey Bokarev and Alexey Krivoruchko to Become Co-owners of “Kalashnikov” Concern

“Rostekhnadzor” found private investors for one of its key defense holdings – “Kalashnikov” concern, specializing in the manufacture of small arms. 49% of the concern will be acquired for $ 1.3 billion by co-owner of “Kuzbassrazrezugol” and “Transmashholding” Andrey Bokarev and head of “Aeroexpress” Alexey Krivoruchko.
Their parity joint venture will purchase additional issue of “Kalashnikov” shares. All in all for the development of arms brand businessmen are going to invest 2.5 billion rubles during the next two years.
To implement the transaction there will be carried out an additional issue of “Kalashnikov” shares for 1.3 billion rubles, which will be acquired by the joint venture. “Thanks to the investors the debts and loans of the concern will be paid off, the funds will also be used to purchase the assets of the company,” – said the source. Within the next two years, “Rostekhnadzor” and private investors are planning to invest 1.2 billion rubles in the development of the famous brand each.
